HIGH-ALTITUDE COFFEE

Ka Irima sits at 1,850 metres above sea level, at the foot of the Aberdare Mountains.

Here, coffee cherries grow in rich volcanic soil. The combination of altitude, cool temperatures and plenty of care on the farm gives the coffee all the time it needs to develop.

And you can taste it. This coffee is juicy, fruity and bright, with that unmistakable Kenyan quality. Think ripe pear, juicy blackberry and a fresh acidity that keeps the whole cup lively.

MEET SAMWEL

Samwel is the third generation of his family to grow coffee. But farming wasn’t always the plan. After studying and working in marketing, he decided to return to where it all began: the family farm.

Today, Samwel combines three generations of coffee knowledge with modern farming practices and plenty of ambition.

His focus? Better coffee. More quality. More value created on the farm. Because growing coffee is one thing. Building a future around it is another.

COFFEE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

For Samwel, Ka Irima is about more than coffee.

He works with a team of young people and wants to show them that coffee can be more than a tradition you inherit from your parents. It can be a career. A future. A passion.

By actively involving young people on the farm, Samwel is helping build the next generation of coffee farmers. And honestly? We’re all for it.

WHAT IS WASHED?

After harvesting, the fruit is removed from the coffee cherries. The beans are then fermented, washed and carefully dried.

The result? A clean, bright cup where the coffee itself gets to take centre stage.

For Ka Irima, that means plenty of fruit, fresh acidity and a juicy body.

SL28 • SL34 • RUIRU 11

Three varieties. One small microlot.

SL28 and SL34 are two iconic Kenyan varieties, known for their distinctive fruitiness and complexity. Ruiru 11 brings a more modern twist to the mix.

Together, these three varieties create exactly what we love about this coffee: fresh, fruity and full of character, with pear and blackberry taking centre stage.

PEAR • BLACKBERRY • JUICY

Expect a lively cup with sweet pear, juicy blackberry and a fresh, medium acidity.

The washed process keeps everything clean and bright, while the juicy body makes sure this coffee never feels too light or thin.

Fruity without getting funky. Fresh without tasting sour. Just a damn good Kenyan coffee. signature.
