Grown high at 1900m above sea level, Ziwa Farm Microlot is coffee with real meaning. At this altitude, slow-maturing cherries develop vibrant acidity and deep sweetness—but the impact goes far beyond flavor. Every bag supports children living with disabilities, helping create dignity, opportunity, and hope through coffee.

In the cup, expect juicy plum and blackcurrant, a lively brightness, and a clean, balanced finish. It’s the kind of coffee that makes you pause, take another sip, and want to know the story behind it.

The name says it all: this coffee comes from a small plot. Microlot coffee is a small batch, allowing the farmer to dedicate extra attention to each batch.
Moreover, Microlots are always produced in a unique location, that particular spot high up on the mountain where the water flows freely.

ALTITUDE WARNING: THIS MICROLOT PEAKS AT 1900M

Afraid of heights? Then brace yourself. Grown in the clouds and brewed for impact, this high-altitude microlot pushes flavor to the limit—juicy plum, blackcurrant, and electric acidity. One sip and you’ll feel the altitude kick in.

FARMER - ESTHER KARIUKI

Behind this microlot is Esther Kariuki, the founder of Ziwa Farm. She started the farm in 2020 with one clear purpose: to create a dignified livelihood for her daughter Shantelle, who has Down syndrome, and for other children with disabilities in her community. In a place where people with intellectual disabilities are often overlooked, Esther chose to do the opposite—she built opportunity.

Through Ziwa Farm and Shantelle and Friends, this coffee directly supports children living with Down syndrome and cerebral palsy, giving them visibility, purpose, and hope. This microlot isn’t just grown with care—it exists to prove that coffee can create real inclusion, one harvest at a time.

ALTITUDE: 1900M ABOVE SEA LEVEL

This coffee is grown at 1900 meters above sea level, where altitude shapes everything. In the cool mountain climate, coffee cherries ripen slowly, developing higher sugar content and greater complexity. The result is a coffee with more depth, vibrant freshness, and a distinct character.

The coffee is washed processed, a method that highlights clarity and the purity of the terroir. This allows the influence of altitude to shine through: a clean structure, sparkling acidity, and refined flavors. In the cup, you’ll find juicy plum and blackcurrant, perfectly balanced with a fresh, elegant finish. At this height, you don’t just taste coffee—you taste where it comes from.
